Why Survival Is an Achievement

Why Survival Is an Achievement - PleaseNotes

As the year wraps up, my feed is already filling up with people sharing their highlights—new jobs, personal wins, big milestones. While I’m genuinely happy for them, I know not every year feels like that. Sometimes, the greatest thing you can do is survive. If all you did was make it through this year, I want to remind you: that’s enough. And maybe, just maybe, this quiet resilience is laying the groundwork for something better next year.

There are years when simply holding it together takes all your strength. If this was one of those years for you, it doesn’t mean you’re behind or failing. Surviving through challenges and uncertainty is not only an accomplishment but also a chance to reset.

It’s easy to feel discouraged when others are posting their big wins, but those posts don’t tell the whole story. Your year might not have included milestones, but it may have been the foundation for something new.

Manifesting Hope for What’s Next

As I look forward to the new year, I’ve started focusing less on what didn’t go as planned and more on what I can create moving forward. Saying, “I manifest hope, opportunity, and strength for the coming months,” has been my way of setting a new intention. It’s not ignoring the challenges of this year but using them as a foundation to build something better.

When you shift your focus from comparing yourself to others to planting seeds of hope for the future, you open the door to new possibilities. It’s a way to ground yourself in hope while acknowledging the growth that comes from hard times.

Reflecting on a Tough Year

This year, I’ve found myself writing down small intentions in a notebook whenever things felt overwhelming. Sometimes it was just a simple phrase like, “I will find peace,” or “Better days are ahead.” Over time, these words became my anchor.

For next year, I’m creating a space to focus on what I want to call in. Whether it’s a latest manifest list of goals or a daily reminder that I’m capable, the practice of writing these down feels like a reset. These small actions remind me to keep moving forward.

Celebrating Quiet Strength

If this year felt more about surviving than thriving, let that be enough. You endured, you held on, and now you’re ready to step into the next chapter. Life doesn't have to be defined by big wins; sometimes, it's the ability to endure challenging days and come out stronger that truly matters. Next year, I’m holding onto the belief that better things are coming, and I hope you will too. Remind yourself that better things are possible.

You’ve made it this far, and that’s worth celebrating.
