The Juicy Stuff
You are a person of great influence. If you could inspire a movement that would bring the most amount of joy to the greatest amount of people, what would that be?
The TGIToday Movement - helping people to find joy today, instead of waiting for tomorrow.
How did you get into your line of work and why are you passionate about it?
By following the "PULL." I worked in the corporate world for 18 years and really loved it but I keep feeling fire in my belly (or what I call the PULL) towards helping people find more fulfillment and joy in life. Finally I listened to that PULL and couldn't be happier.
What is a quote that made an impact on you? How did it come into your life and how do you use it?
"Obstacles are a detour in the right direction" by Gabby Bernstein.
This is my fav quote of the week. I first discovered this when I read Gabby's book The Universe Has Your Back and it has really changed the way I look at things. There are so many times when I have either been turned down for an opportunity or things didn't work out exactly the way I wanted them to. This quote helped me to realize that these things weren't meant for me. And it is so true! Something even better and more for me was always waiting around the corner. When things don't work out the way I had planned, I take a breath and remember that "obstacles are a detour in the right direction."
What piece of advice would you give the 2012 version of you? Why?
Trust in the journey. Things will show up when they are meant to.
What activities do you do for self-care and mindfulness?
"Not doing." I often get so busy "doing" and checking off my list, that I forget the importance of allowing space to "not do." This helps me to be much better and aligned when "doing."
What's your zone of genius and how do you use it to impact others?
I am a Joy Connector and coach. I recently published the book Claiming Your TGIToday: a step-by-step guide to finding joy today instead of waiting for me.
What do you want your legacy to be?
To simply help others find the inner spark that will lead them to their joy.
